Staking volunteers needed!

WE ARE LOOKING FOR 24 VOLUNTEERS who will help with staking our Orient Park plots as soon as possible after the gardens have been tilled. We no longer need to operate under strict COVID protocols, so each staking team will have an extra member to make the work go easier. If you would like to work with a specific individual or individuals, please let us know in advance and we will make an effort to accommodate that within the teams. Water’s on, ground tilled, plots staked: gardens ready!

Good news gardeners: the plots at Orient Park and Anderson are ready! City water was turned on earlier this week at Orient. Tilling was completed at both gardens over the Victoria Day weekend. Staking was completed Monday at noon and all annual plots are now ready. Compost delivery is tentatively scheduled for Thursday May 30 assuming city load restrictions are lifted by then.  Please do not plant anything in the front 10 feet or so of your plots until the compost is delivered.
