Membership package update

All community garden plots are now assigned and membership packages are en route to you! Packages include: your membership card a plot map highlighting the location of your plot the rules governing the community gardens. Please take a moment to confirm your name and assigned plot(s). If you feel there is an error – please reach out to the registrar at gaga@ncf.ca Please note that the gardens are not officially open to members until they are plowed, staked and you have your membership card. An announcement regarding an official opening will follow once the fields have been plowed and staked.

Final week: Renew your garden plot!

GAGA garden registration renewals have been open since the second week of February to all returning members in good standing. Thank you to the 89% who have renewed. A membership package will follow in late April. If you’re still among the small group who has not renewed – don’t leave it to the last minute! We’ve sent numerous newsletter reminders and individual calls this last week to our membership. Please reach out to the registrar at gaga@ncf.ca if you need help renewing and have misplaced our online renewal link. We have a waiting list of 150 people interested in plots…

Shed builder wanted

GAGA needs a storage shed (nominally 10×10) to be designed and constructed, complete with a gravel base, at the Anderson gardens. Gardeners (or family members) who are accomplished carpenters or contractors, and who are available and willing to build during this spring, are invited to contact Mark Eldridge through the general GAGA email address gaga@ncf.ca. There is funding available to compensate for both labour and materials. Alternatively, if anyone knows where we can procure a “short” sea-container (not longer than 10 ft) which is weather-tight, suitable for use as a storage shed, and available at a modest cost, they are…
