Gardens are open!

The gardens are open, but … we don’t have any compost yet.  We didn’t want to make you wait for another week until it arrives, especially since this is the traditional weekend for the gardens to open.  Until the compost arrives, scheduled for next week, please make sure that you leave at least ten feet at the front of your plot so that we don’t damage any of your precious seedlings. If you have changed your mind about having compost, please let us know by Monday, May 24 at gaga@ncf.ca.

Membership package update

All community garden plots are now assigned and membership packages are en route to you! Packages include: your membership card a plot map highlighting the location of your plot the rules governing the community gardens. Please take a moment to confirm your name and assigned plot(s). If you feel there is an error – please reach out to the registrar at gaga@ncf.ca Please note that the gardens are not officially open to members until they are plowed, staked and you have your membership card. Are gardens open? Not yet!

Despite the warm start to spring – the gardens at Orient Park and Anderson are not yet officially open. The annual plots still need to be tilled and staked at both locations.  Tilling, staking are scheduled to occur during the first two weeks of May weather depending and we expect to be officially open by the May 24 long weekend as in years past.
