Less than a month to our AGM and 2019 plot registration

Just a reminder to all interested that the Gloucester Allotment Garden Association will hold its Annual General Meeting and Registration on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 7:30 pm in the cafeteria at Louis Riel High School, 1655 Bearbrook Road in Blackburn Hamlet. If you are on the waiting list for a garden plot – your best chance of getting a plot is coming to the AGM. Please note that new members, or anyone whose name is not on the waiting list, are requested to pay for a plot by cheque at the registration meeting.

New garden plots available at the Commons

Serious about growing food? Looking for space to grow more than the average community garden or backyard plot will allow? Just Food is launching a new project called the Commons – with larger plots dedicated to increasing community food production. First site:  Just Food Farm – 2391 Pepin Court in Blackburn Hamlet. Other sites opening in the Fall in the West and South of Ottawa for 2020. 20 plots are available this year, with long-term access. Maximum of one plot per household.
